As part of the Saskatchewan Roughriders' 100th Anniversary, they are holding a contest throughout the province to see which town has the most Rider Pride. The winning community will receive $25,000 for minor sports, and claim the title of Riderville. Avonlea has been selected as one of the top five communities (www.avonlea4riderville.com). Fans will be able to vote on-line to determine which community in the top five they feel has the most Rider Pride. Online voting goes form Aug 13th-31st at www.riderville.com. The winning community will be announced at the the Labour Day Classic.
